Presso Events - Guide

Start here

From nothing to tickets on sale.

Four steps. You will not fill in a form, learn a dashboard, or copy anything technical. If you can send a message, you can do this. It takes about five minutes.

This page uses Claude, because it is the shortest route. Using ChatGPT instead? Read adding the connector in Claude or ChatGPT. Would rather click buttons than talk to an AI? The Event Portal does everything this does, as an ordinary website.

Before you start

You need a Claude account. A free one works. Two things worth knowing before you spend time on this:

  • On the free plan you can add one custom connector, so this would be it.
  • On a Team or Enterprise account, only the workspace owner can add a connector. If that is not you, you will need to ask them, and it is worth doing that first rather than at step two.

You do not need a Stripe account yet, or a card, or a name for your event. You can add all of that later by asking.

Step 1: add Presso to Claude

Open the link below. Claude shows a box called Add custom connector, already filled in for you. Check that it says Presso Events, then confirm it.

Add Presso Events to Claude →

Claude will warn you that the connector was suggested by an external link, and ask you to check you trust it. That warning is correct and you should read it. The address it is asking you to trust is ours:

https://mcp.presso.events/mcp

If you cannot find an option to add a custom connector at all, that is a plan or a permissions problem rather than something you have done wrong. The client guide lists what each plan allows.

Step 2: tell Claude who you are

Now just say it in a sentence. Claude will ask for anything it still needs, one question at a time. Change the details below to yours.

I want to run an event on Presso Events. My name is Sam Rivera, my email is sam@example.com, and my organisation is Rivera Events. Please create my organisation.

Your organisation is the name your events run under, and it is what ticket buyers will see. It does not have to be a company.

Step 3: click the link Claude gives you back

Claude replies with a single link. Click it, confirm the connector again, and you are done. That link signs you in, so there is nothing to copy and no password to choose.

Treat that link like a password: it is your account, so do not forward it to anyone. You will not need it again after this step.

Why twice? The first connection is deliberately signed in as nobody, so that a complete stranger can create an account without one. The second connection knows it is you, which is what unlocks your events, your ticket prices and your sales. The longer explanation is here if you want it.

Step 4: build your first event

You now have the whole thing. Describe your event the way you would describe it to a colleague, and let Claude read the details back to you before anything goes live.

Set up my first event: a one-day conference called Autumn Product Summit on 14 October 2026 in London, about 120 people. Add a Standard ticket at 150 pounds and an Early bird at 120 pounds for the first 50. Show me everything before we publish.

Nothing is on sale until you say so. Publishing is a separate step, and Presso will read your ticket names and prices back to you first, because those are the numbers a stranger is about to be charged.

When you want to take money

Ticket money goes to your own Stripe account, not to us, so at some point Claude will hand you a Stripe link to set that up. Until then everything else works, and you can plan a whole event before deciding to sell a ticket. The fee is a flat 1% of ticket sales, and there is nothing to pay until your first ticket sells.

If something does not work

  • Claude says the connector is not valid. The link that signed you in has been replaced or revoked. Remove the connector and add it again with a current one.
  • You are told an organisation already exists for your email. You already have an account, and for your own safety we will not hand it over to an unsigned-in request. Sign in at the portal to get back into it.
  • Claude only offers to create an organisation, nothing else. Step 3 has not happened yet. Go back and click the link it gave you.
