Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Presso Events is operated by Presso Network Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11569104), registered office 404, 3 Friars Walk, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 1JB, United Kingdom. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZA548570. Our Data Protection Officer is Kristian Papadakis (kristian@pressonetwork.com). This policy covers the Presso Events product and explains how we handle personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For Presso Network Ltd's full, company-wide privacy policy, see pressonetwork.com/legal/privacy-policy.
2. Who this covers
This policy covers two groups: organisers (the people and organisations who run events on Presso) and attendees (people who receive tickets to those events). For attendee data processed for an event, the organiser is the controller and Presso acts as their processor; for our own account administration and the operation of Presso, we are the controller.
3. What we collect
- Organiser account data: name, email address, organisation name, and sign-in records.
- Attendee data: name, email address, ticket and check-in records, and anything an organiser chooses to collect for their event.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We do not store full card details; we receive limited transaction metadata.
- Technical data: log and security data such as IP address and request information, used to run and protect the Service.
4. How we use it and our lawful bases
- To provide the Service and your events - performance of a contract.
- To secure the platform, prevent abuse and keep records - our legitimate interests.
- To handle payments and meet tax and accounting duties - legal obligation.
- To send service messages you need to run your events - contract or legitimate interests.
5. You own your contacts
Organisers own their attendee list. You can export or sync your contacts to any external tool at any time. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use one organiser's attendee data to market to another's audience.
6. Who we share data with
We use a small set of trusted processors to run Presso, each under a data-processing agreement: Stripe (payments), WorkOS (authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Neon (database), and Resend (email delivery). We share data with them only as needed to provide the Service, and with authorities where the law requires it.
7. International transfers
We aim to keep personal data in the UK or EU. Where a processor transfers data outside the UK, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymise it, except where we must keep records longer to meet legal, tax or accounting duties.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. If Presso is your processor (for attendee data), please contact the event organiser; we will help them respond. To exercise a right where we are the controller, email us using the details below.
10. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep the Service secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. For the full detail, see our Cookie Policy.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk, or call 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to help first.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "last updated" date.
13. Contact
